A on-steet monkey show

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

This is a on-street monkey show, very normal in either cities or countries 10 years ago, but not very popular nowadays in big cities. Monkeys are reared and trained to answer to either drum or whistler played by their master. Reined by ropes, monkeys complete games with their master, who then ask for tips from the audience. In the picture below, it shows the game between monkeys and master.

Pic 1. Master shouted them to sit, and two monkys seemed understand. But look at the stone in his hand.

Afterwords.

Please do not form an impression that monkeys as well as other animals are tortured in China. In fact, monkeys in Sichuan Emei Mountain are kings of their place. Those pictures record a live street show, explaining steps master took to ask for tips. Why at the last pic the monkey was tied in ropes? It was a tactics to ask for money. If he did not get money, he would not let go his anger to forgive the monkey. But master would not kill or torture monkeys in fire or oil wok, because first he would end up in Police station if audience report to Police, second he makes a living on two monkeys. He may not treat two monkeys as families, but not enemies either. The relationship between is similar to a colleague relationship. Weird?
