Beckham has a Chinese tatoo scribbled on his body. It is a Chinese proverb saying, life and death have determined appointments; riches and honor depend on heaven.

Are Chinese calligraphy tattoos popular in China as well? If so, what do they say?

Calligraphy tatoos, probably have popular ones like 忍, meaning to endure and tolerate; or 爱,meaning to love.
